What is Dementia Care?
Dementia care relates to the specialised support and assistance provided to individuals living with dementia, which causes a decline in memory, thinking, behaviour, and the ability to perform daily tasks. Dementia sufferers may require increasing levels of care and support to improve their quality of life and help them maintain their independence for as long as possible. The care involves a comprehensive and holistic approach that takes into account the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of the person with dementia, as well as the supporting their family and friends. Please refer to our Dementia Care page for further information.
